The ST44SW is a support IC for setting the baud rate and network address of the MKY44. Some of the products in the MKY44 series, due to the circumstances of their specifications, do not have terminals where network address, baud rate, etc. can be directly set externally.
These products require serial connection to an ST44SW.

It is possible to use an MKY44 without an ST44SW if there is an FPGA or CPLD on the same board as the MKY44. We can even provide sample source on the level of the ST44SW for you to build into your non-ST44SW device. However, please note that we cannot guarantee it, since the components and evaluation environment you are using may differ.
